Yes, they (mostly) want to stay, but if UK indeed exits then might as well try to recover some losses.

Working class could gain the most if we restrict unfettered access to workers from outside the UK that is putting them on the breadline.

And that's the nub of the problem. It's easy to convince people that an immigrant working for less can take a job away from a British person. It's a bit more difficult to explain how immigration means there's more jobs overall, even when the unemployment figures clearly back that up.

Yes, and also EU legislation designed to have level playing field for all EU members will be gone, so nevermind those paid holidays, overtime pay etc and welcome to kids digging coal in old mines.

Chances are, someone in Westminster will notice the absence of that legislation and pass something equally as inept and confusing as the EU regulations.

Brexit may or may not do a lot of different things, but I doubt it is going to hinder Westminster's ability to pass botched legislation, on things people care about, that only accomplishes part of its purposes whilst generating massive unintended consequences. I know some kids I'd really like to send down a mine without benefit of equipment, but sadly, Brexit isn't going to solve that one.
