Since Turkey has only met 1 of the 31 requirements to join the EU, and other countries can veto them joining like Germany (who have a lot of Turkish people) and France it is going to take a extremely long time before Turkey joins. In fact by the time Turkey is eligible to join the EU likely won't exist any more....
