However it is interesting that MEPs appear to have almost no power.

It is outrageous.

Democracy cannot get in the way of the EU superstate.

Remember, a vote to stay is not a vote for things to remain as they are now.

A vote to stay is a green light for the EU to push ahead with further integration, opening of borders, increasing EU diplomatic missions, an EU army, and further annexation of powers.

You can be certain there will be increased pressure on the UK to give up our rebate and for us to contribute even more money to their project.

It is interesting they are saying how well the UK was doing in Victorian times and how regulation has stuffed the UK.

Of course, in Victorian times, the UK ruled the world. The vast majority of the UK lived in total poverty. Only a few few people in the UK enjoyed the benefit of the UK success.

Makes me feel like voting in.....

Scary. I'll ask again, why would anyone want to be part of the EU? Forcing through secret agreements that allow countries to sue governments, and the electorate aren't even allowed to view these agreements?!

I'm guessing the people on here that are for staying are (broad generalisation coming) say aged 30-50ish, single, and have carved out a niche for themselves that means they travel all over Europe chasing that next lucrative contract, and long may that EU gravy train continue?
