Get the children to get a mortgage and move out.

Then downsize before they realize how tough it is running your own home.....

Silly me I didn't realise the entire banking system would collapse and no mortgages to be lent out!

          No. You'd be buying a 250k house for 250k.

And hoping it didn't fall by another 25%.

The thing you are not considering is that if there was a 50% house price crash, even if you were still in the black personally, that it would be such an economic shock that all sorts of secondary effects would be occurring. For a start the whole housing market could freeze up leaving you unable to take advantage of the new pricing.

To be fair, it's not really about us. It looks like Gideon has already done enough to pop the bubble which will be good for the majority of young people. Whether or not he did it on purpose or he's just a greedy tulip is another debate though.

              Project FUD once again...

              A bit old but still:

UK media – for example the Daily Mail, Daily Express and the Times – yet again reported that the European Court of Auditors (ECA) has not signed off the EU accounts. Some media -this time including the Daily Telegraph – claim that UK taxpayers will be liable to pay back GBP 800 million. Both statements are simply false.
The Court did in fact sign off as accurate the EU’s accounts for 2012 – as it has done each year since 2007.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

People Are not usually allowed 2 mortgages ....remember prices have fallen by a half, so your mortgage on your primary property is now nearly 100 percent of its value, so you can't BTL it.

I think Leave are just going for the race card now, forget economics as it's too difficult for the dumbed down voters to understand:

Farage said leave campaigners should focus more on the issue of immigration, instead of the economics of the EU. “If we debate economics and trade, we can go round in circles for weeks and the public will be none the wiser,” he said.
But Farage said it was time for a fresh start after a shaky week in which Vote Leave’s campaign director Dominic Cummings endured a tough grilling from MPs and Boris Johnson was slapped down by Obama after claiming he nurtured an “ancestral dislike of the British empire” because he was “part-Kenyan”. (*)

The backlash against Johnson’s comments continued as students at Kings College London withdrew a speaking invitation to the outgoing mayor of London, citing his “inappropriate comments and inferences towards President Obama’s Kenyan heritage, of which he is rightly proud.”
                      (* Farage also said this...)
