No, The Kingdom of The Netherlands contains of 3 more countries: Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten and have their own national teams (well at least Curacao, don't know about the others)Originally posted by oracleslave View Post

I would argue that "Holland" is very often, albeit erroneously, used interchangeably with "The Netherlands".
"England" on the other hand is hardly ever used interchangeably with "GB" or "UK".Comment

I beleive this was explained by the commentators during the match, in football terms the Dutch have always been referred to as Holland WRT to sports for some reason, hence that fixture is billed as 'England vs Holland'Originally posted by Eirikur View PostThe country is called "The Netherlands" not Holland
