RAF uses expensive precision munitions rather than carpet bombing cities with cheap dumb bombs, the price of equipment makes it necessary to select targets well before engaging them - if you fail to see the difference then you are an idiot.

There are no big enough targets to precision bomb to make it worthwhile and presense on the ground is thin and highly risky. RAF most likely relying on radio intercepts to local high value targets, which might be 0 as they kind of know by now to keep mouth shut on the radio.
