Daily Mail offer tips on winning lottery when they clearly don't understand maths.

    Buy two tickets

Every time you buy a £2 ticket, you improve your chances of winning. Of course, even if you buy 100 tickets, the odds of winning the jackpot are still just over 450,000 to one — the same chances of dying in a train crash this year.
No, that is not how it works. Your chances are 100 in 45,057,474.

In other news Daily Express gets the odds wrong.

The odds of winning the Lotto are quite low. Players have a 13,983,815 to 1 chance for the main draw.

They should stick to what they know and keep reporting how much peoples houses are going up by.

I like the way everybody's moaning that increasing the odds to 1 in 45 million is making it virtually impossible. Whereas the old 1 in 14 million lottery was of course a dead cert.

Why are you reading the Daily Mail?

They have not even pointed out that the lottery is a tax on the stupid.
