I was a bit of a Commie in the late seventies, (CPGB!!) and visited Russia Soviet and post Soviet times, studied the language, forgot a lot of it over time, went back for a trip on the Transsiberian, met a girl on it, and here we both are, not married so she's not a Mail Order Bride lol!

Short Term Student visa, Student visa, Post Study work visa, Unmarried Partner Visa, Indefinite Leave to Remain, Citizenship!

Visa journey was 2004 till 2014 and about 30 grand in visa and Uni fees!

I'm going Thai next time, sick of beetroot and cabbage. She's been here 11 years and hasn't ventured beyond a korma. Her mother came over in November and found Chicken Korma too hot. To be fair our takeaway does put a fair bit of chilli in it but still....
