Sorry I can't tell if you are joking or not?

paying 40k over 2 years in depreciation a good deal? Really?

I guess if you are loaded then fair enough. I need to do whatever it is you are doing.

If he was loaded he would not be asking the question in the first place...

If you shrug your shoulders at 40k over 2 years then what's the problem with just taking out a loan and extending that another year. Buy it through a finance agreement/loan. Forget PCP/Lease. You can probably get a better deal as "Cash" anyway.

The point is that MF wants everybody to know that he is buying a £70k fantasy motor...

                  First it's not a joke.
                  Second it's over 3 years
And thirdly I could afford to buy it outright if I wanted to

Personally I'm not very showy at all. I like free champagne courtesy of BA, I like reward cards, I like to stooze and frankly I'm super careful with money.

It's just in this case I saw a car I liked. I've had the same car for 10 years. I buy them and then drive them into the ground. Present car is worth 600 quid now!!'

I was wondering what people do? I am forever seeing people with new cars which frankly I don't reckon they can afford and I was wondering if people use finance, PCP or buy outright and do you swap over few years or keep them?

Honest question, it's just the Sport Landrover I saw seems pretty ******* expensive and so are these PCP deals any good
What happens in General, stays in General.
You know what they say about assumptions!

You are spot on - those are the cars people can't afford. So they go for crazy finance deals which are only good to the sellers.

If you think you can't afford car, yet you accept depreciation level from 70k to 30k in just 3 years then you must be proper loaded to buy it with cash.

My guess is that it will depreciate to 40k max, making nice 33% to the finance provider.
