EIM21863 - Particular benefits: trivial benefits - examples

Seasonal flu immunisations Where an employer provides employees with immunisations against seasonal flu (“flu jabs”), the benefit should be treated as trivial. This treatment only applies to routine seasonal flu jabs and does not apply to medical treatment of any sort or to other immunisations, such as immunisations against pandemic flu or other diseases.

See if you can find the answer to that all by yourself.

The reason the stock is fresh every year is that it's a different vaccine every year, because flu mutates all the time. So one point there, even if you rather missed the point.

And given that people being ill costs the NHS money, I doubt they'd keep on recommending it if it made people ill for months.

But if you have solid evidence that the vaccine is causing adverse medical consequences that outweigh the benefits, you really should be writing up your data and submitting your findings to the British Medical Journal ASAP.
Maybe they have a contract in place for the amount needed?
My father used to work in medecine, so knows all about pharmeceutical contracts and the NHS.

Well, "fresh" or not, last year it provided 3% protection so I'm guessing you must consider it well worth it.
Oh, hang on you get it for free

Flu vaccine gives only Low Protection

I know at least 6 people that were ill after taking it last year, medical evidence, writing to medical journals, no, of course not.

If you want to have blind faith in what our govenment recommends for your health, go right ahead, although I suggest it is you who has "missed the point".

They knew last year it was going to be ineffective, in very good time, yet still gave people the jab anyway .

Just like the millions of Swine Flu jabs they ordered, ended up giving it to anyone with a runny nose just to get rid, Flu Jab if you're at risk yes, otherwise I'll take my chances.

Slightly worse with the Swine flu jabs as this can cause adverse effects.

Anyway, like anything else concerned with government, I'm sure they know what they are doing.
