Still it gives me a few works to finish off plan b and c and see what happens with those.

Tempted to try and jump on the scrum master gravy train as well as coding is starting to do my head in. Especially in "agile" teams. If you can't beat them join them. Some of the ones I have worked with have been truly atrocious.

Yes, this "agile" bulltulip is the main reason I'm on plan b fulltime. How the fook did this take over in anything but some thrown together simple webtulipe is beyond me.

What's your plan B - selling agile certifications?

Christ I avoid any project with Agile, the most stressful kind of projects, it never works, they just put everything on the backlog and after a few months of daily effing calls and empty standups, constant daily reporting, you end up with a huge backglog, people start to abandon ship … no idea who thinks agile works !

Yes, and you never see the big picture, or careful design, you code like a monkey, usually rewriting each others code over and over again and new "requirements" surface that shake the foundations of the code.

Real daily grind. Then throw in a large number of ever changing, could give a toss Bobs......

Sounds like a perfect environment for a contractor to make hay for a (long) while.

Actually, yes if you can "enjoy" rewriting the code week in week out, over and over again, without falling into major depression or going postal, you can.

Sounds like where I am now, to some extent. Depressing it can be, yes, but means to an end we must remember. For me, this is a contract-career-ending role, but the flip side is that I can make enough hay to last a very very long time

Almost there, just one more year Rodders! (just picked up a 12 month extension.... which means no more Travel & Subsistence dammit).

Totally understand. Good luck, grit teeth and keep invoicing.
