          A few weeks ago during the brouhaha of the Chinese stock market collapse we collected some wild guesses from the loyal contributors to this esteemed forum for the closing level of the FTSE100 on 31st December 2015:

          They are:

          ZARDOZ === 4500
          TOMTOMAGAIN === 6800
          SantaClaus === 4720
          eek === 6200
          PurpleGorilla === 3250
          DimPrawn === 6200

          If anybody would like to either amend their guess or post an guess then please do and I'll add them to the list.

                  Still more doom to come yet. Think my prediction is still safe

                  From Telegraph article

                  Mike McCudden, of Interactive Investor, said: “Commodities are on the rise as confidence appears to be returning and investors have switched back to 'risk-on' mode.

                  “However, the underlying story behind these moves is fear of more turmoil from the Asian markets and investors are taking the gamble that China's problems have dissipated.”
