A few weeks ago during the brouhaha of the Chinese stock market collapse we collected some wild guesses from the loyal contributors to this esteemed forum for the closing level of the FTSE100 on 31st December 2015:
They are:
ZARDOZ === 4500
TOMTOMAGAIN === 6800
SantaClaus === 4720
eek === 6200
PurpleGorilla === 3250
DimPrawn === 6200

Mike McCudden, of Interactive Investor, said: “Commodities are on the rise as confidence appears to be returning and investors have switched back to 'risk-on' mode.
“However, the underlying story behind these moves is fear of more turmoil from the Asian markets and investors are taking the gamble that China's problems have dissipated.”
