I went through in June and could clearly see there was a charge unlike when I went through about 4 months earlier.

They had the same complaint from a lot of women.

So they put the sign in a fake show shop frontage.

I remember the parking fee in Cyprus a few years back. 20c per hour, but if you didn't pay they fined your 5 Euros. Seems a bit more reasonable.

Yup, you could never be expected to read this, or the other ones placed at varying distances before the crossing, must be someone else's fault:

Useless sign. What is this Dart Charge? Never heard of it. Am I supposed to automatically work out that Dart Charge is the brand name of "Dartford Crossing Toll". "Find us online" What is wrong with a url? Or some text that spells out that the crossing is a toll crossing and while there are no toll booths, you're still expected to pay.

This is what you have in Ireland. Even SimonMac would understand this one.
