I would also challenge the basic premise of your (typical leftie) guilt ridden assumption that the British are responsible for all the negative things that people like you claim they are. I can study any map you like but I would like you to present an argument that supports the view that:

1. British colonisation was wholly destructive
2. That we ancestors should pay for the activities of our predecessors
3. That migrants should be assimilated into British society and more importantly how

Did I say I feel guilty about Britains' past? I think you will find all I did was ask the moral question as to whether having plundered many a country, we should be so condemning of migrants from said countries arriving for a slice of the pie.
