The Hobbit first edition fetches £137,000 at auction - BBC News

Always worth checking out car boots for this type of thing.

What's interesting (and not many people know this), but the Hobbit, Bilbo, was based on Shaunbhoys father. If you've ever met Shaunbhoy you'd know why, he's the spit of his parent. Standing at 4' 2'' in his bare feet, Shaunbhoy has large splayed, hairy feet with six toes on each foot & eats up to six times a day.

Not a lot of people know that.
