Marx was a complete fruitloop, not that there is an issue with being a complete fruitloop, but people actually believed his fruitloopery and ran with it.

Socialism is a disease, a pox on humanity, people think the American's Vietnam war was a mistake, I don't.

Not winning it was their mistake, all they ever really tried to do was not lose it and that never works.
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

They forgot one of the main rules of warfare:

Tender-handed stroke a nettle, and t'will sting you for your pains.
Grasp it with a grip of mettle, and it soft as silk remains.

In other words, if you must have a punch up, steam in mob handed from the outset!

Yes, that one especially is utter bollox.

If it hadn't been for religion and superstition, humans almost certainly wouldn't exist today.

In primitive groups, superstition is one of the few ways smarter little men and women can influence and even dominate the big hairy guys!

I didn't think of that, so if we use religion we can slap MF about a bit?

Most likely, but it depends how gullible he is

                ?
Oh yes they did - the Saints named it the long night of the Soul - being abandoned by God - a bit like attending a Labour conference.

The early Christians were named Atheists by the Roman authorities because they didn't submit to the Pantheon of Roman Gods.

Well Boys and Girls I have to leave you now as Im off to the Rotters Clubs - I leave you with the Words of Pope - something somebody - or other -

"God is Everything - I am Nothing - that is enough for today "

                And indeed it is.
