The judge says, as he dons his black cap, "You have done wrong, you have committed the worst crime, a crime so bad that your punishment must be severe, to kill someone is so bad, so awful, such an abominable crime that I am going to ... em ... em ... kill you."
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

I doubt any judge sas that. More like 'to kill an innocent...'.

Is the point that we should have the death penalty for no other reason than to save money?
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

The death penalty is uncivilised and barbaric whichever method is used. These two methods just seem more attractive to the mouth-breathing, knuckle-draggers who would have sat in the front row of the crowds at the guillotine during the French Revolution.

Yes. Blame it on the French, the bastards.

If you crave an instant feeling of immense superiority just visit one of the pro DP forums in the US. I can't remember the url for any of them but there are some real rednecks on them who say the most ridiculous things.

I once read that the right to keep and bear arms is in an amendment to their Constitution and therefore is more important than any human life.

Bearing in mind this this is his 2nd offence.
Life in prison but with a parole hearing every year. Obviously no chance of getting parole, but it would be satisfying to build his hopes up and then dash them on a regular basis.

Why stop at the right to bear arms, surely you could run faster with bear legs as well
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
