I wonder how when someone says they hear voices in their head medical professionals differentiate between a genuine mental illness and an attention seeking religious nut job

I just don't buy this pilot locked out theory. If the pilot was hammering on the door to get back in, then trying to bash it in, that means that the passengers were witnessing this. Why were none of them on their phones making phonecalls? Instant reaction is to call a loved one and say goodbye.
