The grounds are quite pleasant, mostly populated by families out for a stroll, and middle aged lesbian coupless walking their dog

Best visited when it is snowing heavily, as it makes a nice afternoon stroll from the park to neighbouring village pubs

Never bothered visiting the venue mind
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

We are sat here cuddled up, like Siamese twins. Normally I have my laptop on the desk, and the keyboard and mouse for the clientCo PC.

But now I have to have my laptop and other PC in the same space.

Also the new consultant is very chatty. Very very chatty.

Output from me has plummeted because of these changes.

      Advice please.
Missed your window of opportunity. Should have said no to having another pc on your desk and physically moved it when it appeared.

You wont get much if anything done now.

You really think I should have done this, and that no further ructions would have been caused by doing this?

Think carefully before looking like a tit responding.

Be a man about it. You should have said no.

I once did a gig where they gave me a tulip desk and a chair that looked like it was from a charity shop. I wondered to the other end of the building where the execs where and took a lovely chair from an office and wheeled it back to a look of shock and awe from the other staff.

A couple of days later someone came looking for it. I'd taken the MDs chair and he was not happy. Get me a proper chair that doesn't break health and safety and you can have it back. A new chair was ordered immediately for the MD and I kept his.

          It's all about the base.

And when you woke up you were sitting on the toilet?

In the UK there is legislation which would back you doing that and luckily the legislation uses the term "worker" so contractors are covered. As companies have been sued in the past for ignoring the regulations when they first came out, they are now careful to be seen to abide by them.

The only time someone tried to work on my desk I picked myself up and went home as I had a contract where I could WTF if I wanted. Strangely when I came back into the office they never tried that again......

It's all moot at the moment anyways.

My new 'colleague' has taken over my project. I am supposed to be resuming a data migration project, however .....

Before putting the data migration project down the first time, I agreed with ClientCo to export their production data to a staging environment about 6 weeks ago.

Until they can tell me where it is and how to access it I am posting on CUK. You lucky lucky people
