    You might end up with nosey dreamers at your door, but remember it's in Scotland, so a different legal process.

    if you organise and do the viewings and negotiate price if required, then direct them to your solicitor for legal offer, then their mortgage position is not your problem.

      I sold once myself. Stuck a home made sign in the garden overlooking a main road but didn't get anything for a week until I changed the colour to white background with red writing. Got a few lookers but sold quite easily although I am in a desirable village.

      As TM said, I just pointed the seller to my solicitor to finalise the legalities.

        Use an online estate agent. We've just sold our house (stc) and paid £840 instead of £6,500. They organised everything, we just did the viewings.
