    CFA...

    - just got back from Kaiserslautern from seeing an old friend of mine playing with his band (ex. Mannfred Mann, Pirates, Mick Taylor, etc.) which was rather a good evening (*). Now sitting down to do some accounting work for the Finanzamt (argh!!!) and then a teleconference with the guys in the USA. Hopefully that'll be finished as I have Kegel(ing) tonight
    - the rest of the weekend will be spent doing more accounting work and getting ready for trip to DC next week so a really rather quiet one this time although I will crack open a German craft beer, an IPA in fact, at some point, put my feet up and watch the footie

(* lining up the next time to see him which will be in July in a place called Meisenheim where he'll be playing various blues music from Etta James to Cream. What's interesting is the venue, Meisenheimer Hof, which is a rather nice wine hotel in the Pfalz and the venue is the old cinema. There is no ceiling left but a retractable roof so as the weather will be nice, it can be opened out and the music will be under the stars plus they make their own schanpps and have gourmet food...)
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Taking the missus to a few local festivals, work on my product photography, drink Moniack and watch Fury, snipe a bit on fleabay, catch on the latest .Net doings
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I'm glad to hear that. We are off there tomorrow (early start for us) and I've been dreading that it will be utterly naff...

Sunday will be finding something to do and heading back up north...

Well we love it, loads of interesting stuff to look at loads of interesting companies/universities/projects and lots of free pens!
My daughter really looks forward to it (shes 14) and she feels at home there - she's an aspie science geek.
There are shows and demos too, but we usually forget to go to those

                  Hope you enjoy it

Travelled back from boys' ski trip in Italy with Junior to find my lovely wife had given her mother a Mother's Day gift of ME doing her mum's garden.

She's a wily fox, my missus. Vengeance being a dish best served cold, and all that.
