As long as people are not using complete text style writing (rly h8 that) then the odd spelling mistake really does not need pointing out.

You know what we mean so deal with it! The constant interruption of petty mistakes being pointed out really kills threads too

That would change the tone of the text from a statement to a question. I don't belive AtW was asking, but in fact telling hence exclamation mark was correct and question mark is wrong.
