One does wonder how people can seriously believe in this claptrap.
How can intelligent and educated people believe that an almighty god is behind texts which have been frequently rewritten and reveal not the slightest knowledge beyond that of an 8th century man? How can adults seriously want their lives controlled by someone else's interpretations of the drivel it contains?
Makes one despair of mankind and his irrationality. Bring on WW3.bloggoth

Indeed. There appears to be no correlation between rationality and intelligence.
It's not just Islam or religion but all sorts of beliefs. Some intelligent people are still fervent Marxists. How many more times do they have to see communism fail to accept it can't work except in small communities of like minded people?
Maybe intelligent people are the daftest. Normal less educated people tend to rely more on instinct and instinct is a pretty good basis for what works in human society.bloggoth
