I have, it's ok but not what it was, some sort of gastropub now - not cheap. Gina (ex Landlady) is now at the Fleece in Farsley, lively place now. Music fest Easter bank holiday always fun!Originally posted by FatLazyContractor View PostYeah. Been there after refurbishment? I haven't been there in ages.

I live walking distance from The Dog & Gun (plastic millionaires palace) and The Lamb (awful food and the gay owners chintz decor). The Bay Horse at Oxenhope is bit further but it is okay.I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. Yes I have - once! The Mrs asked for a cup of tea in there to wild hilarity!Originally posted by FatLazyContractor View PostOh yes, the one opposite Sutcliffe's. Just up the road there is this Chav house called the Bay Horse. Even been .. .sorry, ever got beaten there?!
Used to go in the New Inn on quiz nights - easy pickings till they, not barred me, but kind of said I wasn't allowed in the quiz. Not ballooning myself, it was easy peasy!
The Village is pretentious, the Old Hall round the back was ok but to be honest not been out much lately.Comment

Home to rednecks of Leeds, I reckon. All the chavs from those council blocks behind the pub "meet up" at the New Inn or at the Bay horse over weekends for some mischief.Originally posted by stek View PostYes I have - once! The Mrs asked for a cup of tea in there to wild hilarity!

Oxenhope is a pretty decent village. But anything close to Keighley is a tuliphole!Originally posted by GlenW View PostI live walking distance from The Dog & Gun (plastic millionaires palace) and The Lamb (awful food and the gay owners chintz decor).
