A very UKIPesque statement. Surely the sins or good works of the parents should not be passed to the children?Originally posted by SueEllen View PostA fair few of the people they show in those riots are descendants of those who aren't thankful they ended up in the US.
As far as I am concerned when someone is British, they are British. It makes no difference who their parents were.Comment

Isn't there an advertising regulation that means the price has to be a certain level for a while before it can be called a discount - mostly a swizz though.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostFunny thing is if they brought the stuff at some random time of year they would get it the same price.
I've noticed some retailers have put their prices up since the start of November....Comment

With technology it's easy though. As the new model comes out, the old one drops in price drastically in many cases, but it's not really on sale.Originally posted by jmo21 View PostIsn't there an advertising regulation that means the price has to be a certain level for a while before it can be called a discount - mostly a swizz though.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

The item has to be on sale at the original price for a reasonable amount of time. So if the item is perishable then that could be one day there as if the item is a sofa that could be a few weeks.Originally posted by jmo21 View PostIsn't there an advertising regulation that means the price has to be a certain level for a while before it can be called a discount - mostly a swizz though.
Lots of retailers do random discounts all year round - you just need to sign up for their mailing lists.
BTW have you noticed the sofa companies now don't call their discounts "sales" they call them "events"."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
