Haggling abroad

Having a nightmare travelling with the other half who is willing to simply handover the first price requested. Currently asked for about a tenner for 4 postcards and stamps in T'gypt until I stepped in with a "whoaaaaaa!!!"

Anyone had any nightmarish tales?

Haggling in the underground market at Connaught place in Delhi is fun / nightmare.

"Some" faces attract (actual price x 10) as default price.
