How's that going, six weeks on? Evidence of dodgy science flooding in? A few weeks to go and the index page reads:

There are no items to display from the selected collection.
I guess they're keeping it back, its so devastating, huh?

    Meanwhile,
Here we present an updated global surface temperature analysis that reveals that global trends are higher than reported by the IPCC, especially in recent decades, and that the central estimate for the rate of warming during the first 15 years of the 21st century is at least as great as the last half of the 20th century. These results do not support the notion of a “slowdown” in the increase of global surface temperature.
Possible artifacts of data biases in the recent global surface warming hiatus

No doubt all will be revealed by the GWPF Investigation. I for one, cannot wait for all of climate science to be shown to be in error. After all, Anthony Watts made clear in a letter to one of the authors he knows this paper and the whole corpus is one big conspiracy to commit fraud. That's good enough for me.

        Dear Dr. Peterson,

This latest paper, Karl et al. 2015 is an embarrassment to science. It epitomizes president Eisenhower’s second warning in his farewell address about science and politics becoming hopelessly intertwined, and thus corrupted.

In my last telephone conversation with you, I stated (paraphrasing) that “I believe you folks aren’t doing anything fraudulent, but you are doing what you feel is correct science in what you believe is a correct way”.

After seeing the desperate tricks pulled in Karl 2015 to erase “the pause” via data manipulation, I no longer hold that opinion. You needed it to go away, so you prostituted yourselves, perhaps at the direction of higher ups.

This will be NCDC’s Waterloo, and will backfire on all of you terribly on the world stage. Take a lesson from Yamamoto’s own observation after he bombed Pearl Harbor. Take a lesson from what is on WUWT today.

        How sad for you all.

        Anthony Watts

Charming man. I guess the G7 are going to look pretty silly when they catch on to his theory.

          Fully agree with that

Has NOAA ‘busted’ the pause in global warming? | Climate Etc.

The global surface temperature datasets are clearly a moving target. So while I’m sure this latest analysis from NOAA will be regarded as politically useful for the Obama administration, I don’t regard it as a particularly useful contribution to our scientific understanding of what is going on.
Yeah absolutely fiddling with figures is not scientific.

Dr Curry should maybe do a little more research before she reacts. In the full quote she says that

My bottom line assessment is this.* I think that uncertainties in global surface temperature anomalies is substantially understated.* The surface temperature data sets that I have confidence in are the UK group and also Berkeley Earth
If she had read the paper a little more closely, she may have noticed that the Berkeley Earth (BEST) Series that she trusts has almost exactly the same modern trend as the new paper from Karl et al.

And the head of BEST is a little more sanguine about the research ….

NOAA is confirming what we have been saying for some time that the ‘hiatus’ in global warming is spurious
,” Berkeley team chief and physicist Richard Muller said in an email.

Like Judith, I agree with Muller and BEST and Karl, all of whom are saying the same thing. No letup in GW.

Now that PJ's hero, Pachauri, has resigned from the IPCC and found guilty of sexual harassment by TERI, there are rumours that Sepp Blatter will be taking over.

that would explain why pj is so good at moving the goal posts around

Perhaps you should, here is the 16 year (now 17 year) hiatus that Dr Curry keeps going on about, courtesy of the unfiddled satellite data:

Well Saturday was 30 degrees, sitting in a thong on the balcony weather, today was brass monkey wearing thermals weather. If that isn't a change in the climate then I don't know what is

Dr Curry was 'on about' surface temperatures. RSS measures temperatures in the lower troposphere. You might want to graph the long term trend in the whole dataset, after all, if the increase has halted for 16 years , we must be way below it, no?

Here is the non-hiatus down here where people live ...
