Even better. So sell your flat here and Italy, consolidate the cash and buy a larger place in Italy. With no mortgage you don't need a high paying job anymore, anything will do. La dolce vita, no?
      Hard Brexit now!

Money goes away very quickly. Still I like working and living here. Moreover, the cost of living in Italy has become almost the same as in UK. And la dolce vita is gone anyway when you have a wife unfortunately.

feck me Francko you talk some nonsense,

1, 'Do you have any idea of how many trains they are planning to build by 2010-2012? '

Do you really believe this ? The UK is anti-rail, they will build more motorways they will not invest in the railways

2, As SasGuru said, why don't you invest in Italy, even better, as an Italian why don't you do what all the other Italians are doing and invest in Central and Eastern Europe ?

3, Just when I thought I'd heard it all, you try to argue that the cost of living in Italy is as high as in the UK - purrrrleaaassseeeeee this is an insult to the reader's intelligence and may explain why you want to invest in Kent !

          Good luck,

          Milan.

You surely know Italy more than me. Regarding Eastern europe that area is also covered. You are probably not aware but in many european countries (Italy probably the worst) the taxation on the second house is huge (we are talking about 20% in Italy and they want to increase it too). Only in the UK it is taxed as the first (but again UK is the worst place on the earth so this doesn't count).

The garden of England welcomes Francko and his equity release with open arms.

I'm now looking for a house in a decent bit of London. Then let the missus work (she enjoys it more than I do) , become a house-husband, do the occasional contract. If I can work from home, even better. As of next year, I'm semi-retired

Ah Kent... that once lovely place that is now home to the biggest concentration of asylum seekers, economic migrants directed by the french, and 1000+ children dumped by failed asylum seekers.

Now, was the death of so many people 60 years ago a waste...?

And once granted asylum in the EU, guess where the majority head...

Best move is to release all you equity use that as a deposit along with the largest flexible mortgage a lender will give you to buy a property. Now spend 5 years doing contract work and putting as much into your flexible mortgage as possible. Now sell and move abroad and live the good life.
