I’m glad common sense prevailed. The referendum was a farce from start to finish – Westminster shouldn’t have resorted to changing the rules in the weeks leading up the ballot, Salmond should have actually answered the questions that mattered and the referendum should have been open to all of the UK.
The voting eligibility was frankly bizarre; i.e. excluding the Scot that lives in Newcastle for work, but letting the student from Kent studying at St Andrews to vote.
Both sides tried their best to lose; the incompetence was astounding.Comment
