Thunder and Lightning

How can it be anything other than attention seeking whoreness when someone posts about thunder and lightning ?

I reckon Gittens Gal was enjoying a bit of "Brontophilia" last night.

Technically it's lightning and thunder.

That post was quite something, even by your normal soporific standards and I really feel I have to thank you.

I was feeling a little stressed and agitated when I climbed into bed last night and I was looking forward to a night of unwanted wakefulness.

However, thanks to the content of your post and my awareness of the existence of a little Scotsman who would take time out to type such a thing, I slept like I'd swallowed a whole strip of Nytol.

He's right though. I was about to point out that the thunder could be from the previous lightning, in which case one could indeed say "thunder and lightning", but then I realised you'd have a lightning bolt unaccounted for at the start and a mysterious thunderclap with no following lightning at the end ...

I've been saying Thunder and Lightning since before I could say "Oh tulip that's a big scary noise" and will no doubt continue to do so.
