Might I suggest that if you have genuine queries, you go to the monthly Biphoria group meet-up at the LGF in Manchester. First Tuesday of every month, and then get-together in the pub afterwards.

It works more like, you do what you like with who you like, and don't do what you don't like with who you don't like. "The scale" is a metaphorical construct intended to convey the idea that there are as many sexual orientations as there are people, and reductive attempts at classification based on presumed norms are inherently bound to fail.

I think you will find there are 2 types

1. Born gay - a friend of mine was there was no doubt he was gay before he was a teenager. His brothers most definitely weren't including his twin.
2. Born / raised Bi - will try both may settle one way or the other depending on experience, a night with Brillo is apparently enough.

Interesting I have friends who fall into your first option. Even down to the fact they are twins.
