      costs are per client.

just a pure numbers game ive got to get 12 clients per week x 18 weeks.

is 1,000k and word of mouth enough to generate this?
      You mean £1k !

Answer is... I doubt it. Have you done targetted potential clients or just put put some general advertising ? If the latter, then what exactly ?

no its very targeted. because its a specialised market, all my advertising is strictly targeted.

thing is im not prepared to risk anymore than 1k on this, as u can see im hardly loaded.

You have a only a fraction of the customers you actually need so it doesn't look you'll make much in the short term. I would run this "on the side" to see if it takes off. Just remember most business ideas fail. Not that I want to be pessimistic . So unless you're really confident or have stacks of cash you're prepared to throw away, I'd go ahead carefully.

totally. as its only for 18 weeks, it was always intended as a side-project to generate some cash.

if i can do well the obviously i would try and steadily grow it. but the idea for now is to generate some cash, build somethign that is scalable and make time for me.

A friend of mine in London is in his fifth year trading at a loss. I worked out he was loosing £5 per customer so I advised him to get a bunch of fivers and hand them out to the public. That way he doesn’t exhaust himself as well as loosing money.

Anything beyond this is clear profit. Which begs the question as to why your critieria for success so high? If you consider it as a pilot rather than a make or break, you will be able to scale up to your target profit the next time around.
i think thats the best approach. this first time is a pilot basically.
