Regression is a useful but over used tool. People use it to 'prove' relationships with the most unlikely things. Classic example is the ladies hemlines and the stock market.

Unfortunately, I've found far too many people ignore that rule.
However, I do use it quite a bit.
I am currently studying the negative correlation between how long I work into the evening before I go out and how much my head hurts in the morning. I believe that it shows that working longer hours is better for me.
