        I registered with Facebook several years ago, and then never used it again.

        But every day since then without fail I get a spam message from it saying I have friend requests

        Wish I could turn the damned notification thing off, but that would involve logging in and probably prompt even more spam email.

          Same thing. When it first started I registered, looked at it and then thought, what a stupid ******* website, I'm sticking with FriendsNamesPlaces, that's the place to hang out.
