Hi Lockhouse, did you have the pregnancy test done in Italy or at home? I'm wondering how it has to be presented/notarized to the satisfaction of Italian authorities. My fiancee and I are getting married in Italy in July, and due to the timing of the divorce papers we too will need the pregnancy test.

This is as I remember it (Thanks Tarbs)…..

We needed permission from the magistrate and it was he who requested the pregnancy test. We had it done in the UK and the test result and a covering letter from the doctor in English was presented to the Italian magistrate whilst we were still in the UK. I understood that he was within his rights to ask for an Italian translation but he didn’t. Once we had the magistrate’s permission we didn’t need to present the test results again. Funny old lot, the Italians.
