    From Pictures from the crash

Warning a few pics of dead bodies but in the distance and nothing gory....

The nose of Pan Am 103 has become the symbol of the crash and the ongoing Lockerbie Crisis. It landed on the north of a churchyard at Tundergarth, just outside Lockerbie Town. The body of the pilots and a stewardess was found inside. The stewardess still had a pulse when first found, but she was dead a few minutes later. When rescue services reached the broken cockpit at night, the emergency light inside was still glooming with a ghostly green light.

Apparently the crew of the challenger shuttle were still alive after the shuttle exploded, and of those who hadn't got their helmets on before they passed out, theres a reasonable chance that they would have regained consciousness before they hit the water.
They should fit all chairs with a parachute. Think I will patent that then win the Nobel prize.

How far do you think Amsterdam is from the Eastern Russian border with Ukraine?

            Challenger crew... cobblers.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

There was that BA pilot sucked out of the cockpit window when it blew off, crew grabbed his legs until the copilot landed the plane. Amazing what the human body can withstand, he should have been dead

Not much chance from 31,000 feet tho.

Not cobblers according to nasa. They are reluctantly confident that some of the crew were conscious when they hit the water. Especially the guy who managed to get his helmet on and activate his air supply.

You have a much better chance of survival hitting the ground than water.
