So if sanctions had been brought against Israel, then NorthWestPerm2Contr and other vocal critics of Israel and anyone who might not wholeheartedly support Hamas, would have kept quiet?

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of individuals - not the international response.

I don't know, but it would be a good place to start rather than saying "stop attacking us and we'll stop attacking you, but we'll still occupy your land". That's not an equal ceasefire.

But maybe you're right; for groups such as Hamas, any land that once belonged to Islam, always belongs to Islam - a kind of Islamic Zionism. So in their eyes, the entire nation of Israel is an occupation.

That sounds like some mega contrived and twisted logic. Gaza is the worlds largest open-air prison, and they say "stop imprisoning us, and then we'll talk". Israel say "No - but if you sop resisting being prisoners we'll stop hurting you".


I'm not saying I'm on the side of the Arabs necessarily (although I'm certainly not on the side of the Israelis) - but framing the negotiations as you did is crazy.

Very true. I guess Palestinians don't deserve the right to a dignified and free life. It is only Israel who has the right to exist.

Israel continues to defend itself by blowing up more schools and UN shelters. Whoever thinks it is justifiable for Israel to slaughter children and women (that includes insisting they have "no choice") I hope you burn in hell with the Israeli terrorist forces.

There are plenty of solutions, just none that Israel want. They want to maintain the status quo and have the rest of the Middle East killing each other. They are loving seeing all their enemies killing each other rather than focussing on their tyranny. It's laughable how much the US and the UK have to suck up to Israel.

1) address the Palestinians the right to return
2) stop building settlement and kicking Palestinians out of their homes thereafter destroying them
3) accept palestines right to exist
4) stop blockading gaza and allow Palestinians a dignified life instead of producing more militants through their terrorist policies
5) actually give the Palestinians some hope through a real peace process and not a fake one meant to preserve the status quo
6) stop killing babies and children
7) stop this constant propaganda which claims that Israel are the oppressed and the Palestinians the oppressors
8) start treating Palestinians as human beings
9) if the 2 state solution is not acceptable then make 1 state where all are equal citizens
10) work with the US and UK rather than use them as puppets

Many other ideas I'm sure you can come up with to get towards a real solution. Certainly murdering, slaughter, settlements, blockades, torture and oppression are not going to solve anything.
