How do you patent an idea?

That's a fallacy. If you have a patent that is genuinely valuable then there will always be someone with deep enough pockets to help you defend it.Originally posted by tomtomagain View PostPersonally I wouldn't worry about someone stealing your idea.
If they are going to nick it, then there is very little you can do about it unless of course you have access to very expensive legal counsel. And deep pockets.Comment

Maybe. If you have an idea that is genuinely unique. However a properly filed patent can cost you a lot of money and take time.Originally posted by Contreras View PostThat's a fallacy. I have met a lot of people who think they have a good idea but they don't ever do anything with it, partially because they are scared of "everyone stealing my idea". But the rub is that if you don't just get on with it, that's all it will ever be. An idea. And ideas in your head are worthless.Comment
