England is most crowded country in Europe - Telegraph

The article is from 2008. Since then the population has grown by, what, another 1 million - 1.5 million people?

    Marvellous.
Births and Deaths in England and Wales, 2011 (Final) - ONS

    Key Findings

There were 723,913 live births in England and Wales in 2011, increasing slightly (by 0.1 per cent) from 723,165 in 2010.There were 484,367 deaths registered in England and Wales in 2011, compared with 493,242 in 2010 (a fall of 1.8 per cent).
So one night expect that the difference between birth and death rates would account for an England and Wales increase of between 1 and 1.5 million over the last six years.

Well, what they do would be considered fraud in any other context. Making electoral promises they know full well they do not intend to keep. Some are more expert at this than others.

You seem to be in denial that net immigration of 4 million since 1997 has increased the population, and thus the requirement for housing.

        Where are they then?

Also a quarter of the births in the UK are to migrants. Some ethnic groups, products of migrations of the last few decades, also have much higher birth rates.

Friend of mine was saying that a lot of Asian folks are moving into some of the more salubrious parts of Bristol now. Whereas in the past you may have had, say, the odd Asian doctor now you're getting folks from a different demographic. Yes, these are big town houses and are expensive but they club together so that several generations - aunts, uncles, the lot club together and they can afford these big houses. Damn nightmare for parking though when you've got about 10 clapped out beemers from one household taking all the available spaces

At least packing them to the rafters makes some contribution to the housing crisis
