Immigration has something to do with the housing shortage, as do lots of other factors.

IMO the biggest problem is planning. 2.27% of England (not UK) is built on. Build more houses.

It is not racist to say (for example) if it is true: proportionally more black people are convicted of crimes than white people.

If it's true, say it, and let's try to understand why. It becomes racist IMO when you draw conclusions from that statement which you then apply to black people in general or to an individual black person.

I think the one of the problems with Immigrants is that in reality they must be housed somewhere with good public transport links and local jobs for low unskilled workers (assuming that is what most immigrants are!)

And those places are the already overcrowded inner cities/sink estates so it's kind of tough really!

the general fashion has been to say no we can't police based on race with statistically higher offence rates.

I agree completely it shouldn't be applied without common sense as otherwise I would be stopped on suspicion of burglary daily.
