    Coronavirus job retention scheme fail

To help others who may be in a similar situation with a limited company setup, if you are thinking of claiming the furlough allowance, and you have been paying your "staff" a small PAYE salary (say <£9k per year) so it is below the PAYE threshold for requiring submissions via the online real time PAYE system, then you will not qualify for this allowance. It's pretty crap because it means you will unlikely qualify for any other form of government support. This scheme is designed to make a good headline but will likely rule out a lot of people from qualifying. Surprised? Not really!
Heaven is a place called "Invoice Paid"

Not sure this is true... Most contractors will still be registered for PAYE and have their 700+- salaries going through the online portal anyway...

Why do you say this ? Everything Ive seen points to the fact you can, Ive tested it via my Xero accounts package and the GOV portal, I didnt press send but there was nothing to say it would be turned down.

You will in any event still qualify for UC, your business can apply or you can as an individual.
