Hey guys. I have a couple of amendments to make to my contract.
Th important one is in the addendum to my contract (which overrides the base contract) which is just a word document - I'll just remove the clause myself, sign it, and suggest that they accept it as the new terms.
The other is in the agency base contract pdf, and is a little less important. Is amending this stuff normally a pain in the arse for agencies - given that this is an extension rather than new contract? Basically I just need (want) to change two instances of 'propose' to 'provide'.
Thanks.
As an aside - this (the main point) is regarding the need to get written permission to take leave. Surprisingly my qdos review didn't seem to care that I needed written permission from the client - only that I should have the preceding sentence removed which described time off as 'annual leave'.
The contract was an IR35 pass. There were a few suggestions to make it better including these two.
I personally suspect that perhaps needing written permission is still an issue, and the reviewer may have missed it while concentrating on the 'annual leave' thing.
I'll get the whole clause removed though as I've never actually asked for permission to have time off, and don't intend to start.
