YourCo might, but HMRC would beg to differ.

Generally, though, I'd guess that if they are going into that level of detail I'd have bigger worries than a couple of food bills!!

Agreed. I've rarely seen HMRC go into that level of detail, and it's always been after other warning signs such as messy accounts, non-response to letters, late filing, pushing boundaries too far with other expenses etc.

But a 30inch LCD monitor which just happens to have a TV tuner in it, well that's another matter

            Commute

Yeah, the commute will be a pain. I'll be leaving sheffield at 7pm on Sunday night. I am assuming that'd be a steady 4 hours or less at that time....

As for Friday, it's not going to be fun. I'm hoping after a few weeks, there can be a bit of flexibility on Friday, but can't rely on that being the case. When I went for interview there, I got out just before 4 and was home before 7:30pm.... My Dad happened, by chance, to be in the same area, he left at 5 and took him over 5 hours!!

May alternate between train and car. It is also relatively cheap to park car at Manchester and get flight to heathrow.... But not sure if that'd be viable.

Leave ur car down there and train it, I'm doing Leeds Farnborough and I'm in Kings Cross station bar having a quick Chimay before the Leeds leg where I will watch a movie on the lappy or rewatch some Bottom (again).

              Fancy a pint?

                Thank, Dan.
I would try to rent room only and claim meals.
