I put mine on cv for what it's worth. Also how you lay your cv out is important. I don't have a chronological cv, with my last role at the top. Instead I have a case study cv, where I put case studies most relevant to the role. Google matt craven cv- will show u how to do this"You can't climb the ladder of success, with your hands in the pockets"

Not having a big enough warchest and with a mortgage and rent to pay and lawyer fees (for divorce) and it getting closer to Xmas means that I am now having to consider applying for "crap" contracts just to keep money flowing in.
As a PM I noticed a buoyant market in Aug/Sep but now it seems to be dying down.
Rather than let all the agents know my rate can plummet my approach initially will be to go back to previous direct clients and tell them I am available for a short time only at specially reduced rates and see if that turns up any leads.
If nothing turns up I think I will apply for lower level roles on monster/jobserve in preference to telling my "top" agents that my rate has dropped - not sure how good a strategy this is but I've not been in this position before. This default font is sooooooooooooo boring and so are short usernamesComment

In this case, client has managed to talk previous employer (2 years plus ago) into transferring my SC to them. (Its valid until 2015 but had lapsed since I'd not used it). Helped by the fact that work for client would be on site of previous employer - so they're going to be helpful.Originally posted by DirtyDog View PostHow does that work for a short-term gig?
I could be wrong but now I'm SC again and surely, if I leave this client, I've got another 12 months of SC?Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

I would take it to be honest.
There seems to be more gains in long term. Worth the slight financial hit in the short term.
Its only a few weeks. And 'easier to find a job when in a job'.Last edited by strawberrysmoothie; 24 October 2013, 12:08.Comment

Starts Nov 4th. Managed to drag out signing the contract to see if something better comes up but to no avail.
MArket seems to be getting quieter is preparation for Xmas so it looks like I might have to take. Pays the bills I guess (but thats about it).Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment
