    I give up!!

Agent sends me an email today 'Bolshie, I have a great opportunity paying a great rate I think you are ideally suited for. The role is as a Software Developer........'

FFS! Nowhere on my cv does it say Im a 'software developer'! Im so hacked off, I fire off a reply saying 'where does it say 'software developer' on my cv?' He answers 'its for a software developer in testing.'

Frack off Are they really that thick?
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

    I can beat that.

    "Hi dmini,

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Matron with A&E experience to join my NHS Client on a 6 Month basis whilst the current Matron is on secondment.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable history of working in A&E, and ideally experience of working with organisational change."

Quite how that came out of their search I had no idea. I deal with Microsoft servers! Possibly on the basis I did one year (in Server support) in a hospital.

Did give me a good laugh though.

They are highly qualified professionals that fully deserve their cut of your rate for the exemplary service they offer.

They can be, and if they spent a bit more time checking out the people on their books and the types of job they are really looking for, they could spend less time "wasting" effort chasing inappropriate people for jobs, and as a result free up even more time to provide a "better" service when they are trying to make a placement, e.g. ensure they speak to the hiring managers to find out what they really want and what the job really entails, and getting feedback and actually bothering to e-mail people back who enquire about job roles.

You remember all the thick as tulip, mouthy types at school? The ones that didn't get a single exam result, could hardly read and write?

Well, most of them are now used car salesmen and double glazing salesmen.

Those that couldn't understand that business model are now recruitment agents.

Many moons ago I was contacted by an agency asking me if I'd be interested in a role as a FoxPro developer in the Netherlands.

Even though my CV stated nothing about Fox Pro and that I wanted to remain within the North of England.

But I assume these are just young oiks who are more interested in appearing busy to their managers than providing a good service
