Mate! You are a contractor! You get paid by how much time you put in.

Respect your self for people to respect you. (If you did not finish at x.51 pm - i dont think the manager will have the right or what so ever to scream at you)

I am a contractor i start work by 9.00am - Finish at exactly 5.30pm. (I mean EXACTLY) . So no cause for someone to F* scream at me. )

In other words, you are not allowed to finish early - You are not permi lol

This is my first post so I am hoping someone can answer my question....

This morning I got pulled into a meeting room by my manager screaming at me because my timesheet was incorrect and he threatened to not sign another until I sorted out my time keeping.

Basically the hours I do are 08:00 and leave work at 16:00 but I log off my laptop at 15:51 everyday and am out the office just before 16:00. The thing is I work for a large company and the actual building is massive so I am still "on-site" within my hours.

He has complained that I am leaving too early and gone loopy over it.

Can someone advise if I am right or is right?

Thanks for any help on this.
LOL! So what you're saying is you are all take and no give?

Is this your first contract or something!?

If you need to leave by 15.51pm because of transport issues then get in earlier than 8pm.

When you do make sure a permy knows you are around.

I've replaced contractors on 2 contracts because of their habit of not doing or seeming to do their hours.

Since you are a contractor, I'm surprised that he didn't just sack you on the spot, no one likes a clock watcher.

I work 37.5 hours a week the hours per day are not so relevant. I don't take the p**s and always work at least 37.5 hours but will do more if I am interested in what I am doing or if there is a tight deadline.

The attitude the OP has is a bizarre as the scenario he is describing. I doubt either are true.
