Need to replace my Invoicing/Quote Software

As per the title, I've always used Fanurio - Time tracking software for freelancers which I cant recommend highly enough, its great, but now I have additional employees running projects for MyCo its just not working out as Fanurio isn't really designed for multiple concurrent use (have constant db locking issues and one instance of data loss due to this).

I need a replacement asap, nothing fancy, not interested in accounts apps, just a Client Management/Time Tracking/Invoicing/Quotes package.

I like the look of Invoice on the Go with Invoice2go | Free Trial - Invoice2go but very much dislike software 'rented' rather than a purchased license so what is everyone else using?

Generally my clients have tended to self-bill, but other than that for the small volume of invoices I do (max 1 per month usually) I find Microsoft Word and Excel perfectly sufficient. My accountant deals with turning those few invoices it into a P&L, etc, at my year end.

Yeah, for my normal 9-5 current 'big' client its not an issue as its standard agency self billing but at any time I can have 6 or 7 smaller clients on the go along with clients on rolling hosting/maintenance contracts that I need to bill on a schedule so a dedicated app just makes things a lot easier to manage.

Have just signed up for that Invoice2Go trial and it looks pretty good so think I'll go for that but if anyone has any other options?

I've used Sage Line 50 in the past, and Pegasus accounts. They were OK for the sort of scale you're talking about, but unfortunately they're not free. I only used them because my partner worked as a trainer for those accounting packages. I suspect there are equal or better free options available these days. Perhaps the folks in the Accounting/Legal sub-forum might have more experience of this topic?

I use and love FreeAgent [referral link], can't recommend it highly enough and deals with multiple projects, employees etc very well.

I like FreeAgent as well. I don't use those features but I know it has them.

I had a look at Simple Invoices | An Open Source, Web-Based Invoicing System and it look quite good. I have since reverted back to an spreadsheet invoice template.
