I once worked on a project for Capita. They changed the project manager every 2 weeks. By the time the project finished I had dealt with 20 different women and they would call me at odd hours to resolve issues. Nightmare !

Crapita are ******* tulipe. I wouldnt work for them again. They want a ton on intrusive info off you before they'll consider you for a contract role, and seem to have taken to the governments scheme of making sure your iR35 caught ot at least account for the taxes you should pay as if caught.

Not from what I have seen. They just washed their hands of it making the contractor responsible. At my site the current proposal is for contractors to provide a letter from their acountant and a contract review from a reputable Tax Firm (pick one from PCG website). Problem sorted no change to IR35 status just common sense. However what got my client to this point was seeing a broad range of their key project staff walk off site never to return. My discussion resulted in an agreement to up my renewal rate by £100 per day to cover additional risk and accountancy fees that this mess has casued.

So the answer is if you are coming to do business with the Government or Capita set your rate accordingly.

Entirely depends on which of their contracts you are working on, they are all set up basically completely independently of each other with entirely different processes/culture etc.

A contractor friend of mine jumped ship from ClientCo where I still am, onto a role for HMRC through Capita. The deal looked good on paper with promises of many months worth of potential work, but worked maybe 4 or 6 weeks before being given 4 weeks notice....

I beleive he's still benched and, in hindsight, wouldn't have jumped ship if he had known.
