    LBG Roles

    Anybody applied recently?

I've done three stints with LBG in the past and always had extensions, this time I've applied for about 6 different roles and not even a sniff.

The agents don't get any feedback either?

anybody in same boat or are people getting through and getting contracts?

Didn't you refuse the mandatory rate cut on all contractors and walked?

-edit - I could well be mistaken.

Who are you applying through ?

I'm there at the moment and the way agency based recruitment is done has changed dramatically in the last two or three years.

I did in 2008, but have been there twice since then.

              Go straight to hypen

Pretty much every role now goes via Hypen, the other PSL agencies will work on a fixed commision of 8% and hypen take 2%. Obviously Hypen would rather you came straight to them so they can take the full 10%.

Look for Zac Birchall and Waqar Sabir on linkedIN and see if you have better luck.

Area i'm in (I know people there, so the normal agency application route didn't apply) there's a whole team come in via Hydrogen (Project Partners) and a load of contractors around me starting recently, also via Hydrogen. Not come across anyone yet who's come in directly via Hyphen.

Hypen are part of Ajilon as are Computer People, so they tend to use CP to do the paperwork.

I had 3 emails form different agents yesterday for Senior Programme Test Manager role. One quoted rate as £800PD, one didnt state rate and the other said the role was £500PD (taking the mick I think). I kinda thought all these agents were chancing it to find candidates and werent likely to have the role actually placed with them.

I know there are lot of roles turning around at Lloyds but none of the 3 agents are on PSL list.

There are a lot of Accenture and Deloitte staff at LBG and both consultancies are very forward in expanding accross the group so advertised roles may get filled by them, with the role getting withdrawn from external agents. This has happened to me before when going for a role at Nationwide.
